On December 29, 2025, three people from two different groups died on the same day near Devil's Backbone on Mt Baldy, after rain and snow turned to ice. Most of what you find online about a mountain was written before the last storm. This site shows what the mountain is probably like now, says how old every number is, and points you to the newest reports.
It's an estimate from weather data, not someone standing on the trail. How it works, and what it can't see.
